I’m really busy getting ready for the exhibition at the end of this month. There always seems to be an endless list of little jobs from neatening edges and varnishing to checking the hanging requirements. No sooner do I cross one job off my list than two more get added. This is my third time exhibiting with Artgoat and it’s a great group. Hanging day is Friday 18th, we’ll break the hard work of the day with a picnic by the lake. We have to be finished by 16.30 and the private view will start at 18,00,

I’m having fun playing with the idea of combining monoprints and lino prints in collaboration with David who is a proper lino printer by which I mean that, unlike me, he can carve out a lino block without shedding blood and does not walk around with hands covered in sticking plasters. So he does the carving and I make the monoprints which do not involve sharp pointy things.
We’re finding some exciting possibilities in this combination and we shall keep playing with it.
En ce moment, je m’amuse à combiner monotypes et linogravures en collaboration avec David, qui est un véritable linograveur, c’est-à-dire qu’il peut, contrairement à moi, graver un bloc de lino sans effusion de sang et sans se promener les mains couvertes de pansements adhesifs. Il sculpte donc, et moi, je réalise les monotypes, sans objets pointus ni tranchants.
Nous découvrons des possibilités intéressantes dans cette combinaison et nous allons continuer à explorer cette idée.
